NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Taito-ku, Tokyo) and Nexeria East Japan Utsunomiya Branch (Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture) aim to improve menu development motivation of chefs working at restaurants in the service area (SA) and create unique stores. As a part of "flower making," we will hold the "NEXCO EAST 5th New Menu Contest Utsunomiya Block Qualifying Session" with the theme of "Enjoyable family menu together".
At the Utsunomiya block qualifying event, seven SA restaurants in Saitama and Tochigi prefectures on the Tohoku Expressway competed for a new menu that used plenty of local ingredients, and two of them were selected for the gold medal in Tokyo next March. I will challenge the final competition held in.

"Happy and fun family menu-Family group with local menu"
We would like to provide a place for families with children to enjoy meals and conversations with their parents during the trip. We hope that menus that use local ingredients, rather than just "children's lunch", will trigger "conversation" and "dandan" for parents and children, and the theme of this time is menu development including "children's menu".
5 conditions
- Use local ingredients including the main dish.
- The menu should be suitable for the keywords "family" and "parent and child."
- Set menu for 3 persons (2 adults, 1 child).
- After the contest is over, it will be sold for 6 months in the area as soon as it is ready.
6 Examination method
The works of two stores that have won the gold medal after conducting a tasting examination by 11 people such as cooking experts and customer representatives will be exhibited at the final competition (held on March 3, 2011 (Thursday)).
