We are currently investigating the status of Expressway closures and damage due to the earthquake that occurred today around 14:50 around Miyagi Prefecture. NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Taito-ku, Tokyo, Regional Head Office length: Shinichi Ishikawa) receives the time of the earthquake, Kanto Regional Head Office Kanto in the Regional Head Office has launched a disaster response headquarters.

Currently, all road sections in the Kanto Regional Head Office area are closed. As soon as safety is confirmed, we will remove the suspension of traffic. (The table below shows the situation only within the jurisdiction of our Kanto Regional Head Office)

2 Road damage
We are currently confirming the damage status, but the main status that is currently known is as follows.
- Depression with a depth of 50 cm between Joban Expressway Mito IC and Naka IC
- Joban Expressway Bridge girder shift between Tomobe JCT and Mito IC
- Tohoku Expressway Road bump between Nasu IC and Shirakawa IC
- Keiyo Road (bottom) Road collapse between Hanawa IC and Makuhari IC
- Keiyo Road (above) A step of about 50 cm between Makuhari IC and Hanawa IC
