NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office in (Taito-ku, Tokyo), due to the Tohoku region Pacific Ocean earthquake that occurred 46 pm March 11, 2011 14 Expressway for the damage, Kanto Regional Head Office Kanto in the Regional Head Office disaster countermeasures headquarters (General Manager : Shinichi Ishikawa, the president of the Regional Head Office has been set up to confirm the damage situation and at the same time, is making every possible effort to restore the disaster area.

1. About change of entry/exit IC related to designation of emergency traffic route (status within our jurisdiction)

Entry/exit ICs for the following sections have been changed, and entry/exit is now possible.

3. About closure of rest facility

As for the Kasama parking area on the northern Kanto Expressway (to the east and to the west), damage to the water supply and buildings due to this earthquake has occurred until the repair is completed even after the cancellation of the Expressway main line suspension. The rest facility will be closed. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Five. Emergency vehicle passage

Between the Kita-Kanto Expressway Ota Kiryu IC ⇒ Sano Danuma IC scheduled to open at 15:00 on Saturday, March 19th, there is also a situation where the parallel Route 50 is more crowded than usual due to disaster recovery and other reasons. Yes, we are able to drive when an emergency vehicle is requested.
