Kazo Management Office
NEXCO EAST Kazo Management Office (Kazo City, Saitama Prefecture) will perform pavement repair work at the exit ramp of the Tohoku Expressway Iwatsuki Interchange (IC). For this reason, the Iwatsuki IC exit lamp (National Route 16 towards Kasukabe) will be closed at night.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but we kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation so that you may have some time when you go out.

Exit ramp from Iwatsuki IC on the Tohoku Expressway toward Kasukabe on Route 16

Tuesday, October 9, 2012 Preliminary days: Wednesday, October 10, 2012, Thursday, October 11th, 2012
From 21:00 pm to 5:00 pm the next morning (8 hours closed per day at night) 1 night
In case of stormy weather, it will be postponed to the same time after the next day.
In the case of stormy weather, the decision to close at night will be made at 16:00 pm on the day of the implementation.

2 Detour
National Route 16 (about 0.4km) → (2) Prefectural Road Saitama Kasukabe Line (about 0.5km) → (3) National Route 122 (about 0.3km)
- Please take the Iwatsuki IC exit toward Route 16 Omiya (about 0.4km).
- Turn right at the Miyagaya Pagoda intersection of Route 16 and follow the prefectural road Saitama Kasukabe Line (about 0.5 km).
- Turn right at the Kakura Kita intersection on the prefectural road Saitama Kasukabe Line and follow Route 122 (under the elevated Expressway) (about 0.3 km). Turn left on National Highway No. 16 and drive towards Kasukabe. (Attachment-2 [PDF:187KB])
3 Construction overview
Tohoku Expressway The pavement of Iwatsuki IC is deteriorating, and it is necessary to close the ramp in order to carry out pavement repair work.
In order to minimize the impact on customers, we will close the building during the nighttime on weekdays when traffic is light and carry out construction work intensively and efficiently.
We ask for your understanding and cooperation so that our customers can use our products safely and comfortably.
