Kanto Regional Head Office

NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Taito-ku, Tokyo) will carry out tunnel repair work for the Nagano area between Usui Karuizawa Interchange (IC) and Saku IC on the Joshin-Etsu Expressway (Joshinetsu Expressway) (Out-bound line).

This work required repair work due to damage to the lower part of the tunnel and part of the pavement surface ( Attachment 1 [PDF: 166KB] ).

Since it is necessary to enforce traffic restrictions to reduce the number of lanes during the construction day and night, including Saturdays and Sundays, it is estimated that construction congestion will be up to 5km during heavy traffic hours such as weekends and mornings.

We apologize for the inconvenience to our customers, but when you go out, please allow time and when you go to Karuizawa on Saturdays and Sundays, to avoid traffic congestion at the Usui Karuizawa IC We recommend using IC.

For road traffic information, please visit NEXCO EAST Customer Center, Japan Road Traffic Information Center, etc. For details, see 2. (2).
