(Added on April 16, 2014)
Gaikan Expressway Wakokita IC-Toda Nishi IC (outer), which was constructed from 21:00 on April 13th (Sunday), the day-night continuous regulation of the driving lane was completed safely. (Wednesday) We will cancel the lane regulation at 13:00. Also, the Wakokita IC entrance (Misato direction) will be closed at the same time. Thank you for your cooperation.
In addition, from 21:00 on Sunday, April 20, we are working on the overtaking lane regulation. We apologize for the inconvenience to our customers, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation in using public transportation and detours with plenty of time when you go out.

NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Taito-ku, Tokyo) is between Gaikan Expressway (Kaiwa Expressway) Wako Kita Interchange (IC) and Toda Nishi IC (outer loop), one of two lanes. We will control the lanes for a maximum of 80 hours a day and night, and carry out construction work to extend the life of bridges (steel deck slabs).

In this construction, large vehicles carrying heavy objects repeatedly pass through, causing metal fatigue in the steel deck and many cracks. Therefore, repairing and reinforcing the bridge to extend its service life. It is carried out in order to plan.

In order to implement lane restrictions to reduce the number of lanes that can be driven during construction, It is expected that there will be a traffic jam of about 10km during the morning and evening with heavy traffic, and it will take more than an hour to pass. Congestion is also expected on the surrounding general roads. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation in using public transportation and detours with plenty of time when you go out.
