"Kamisato Smart Interchange (IC)", which is connected to the Kan-Etsu Expressway Kamisato service area, has been promoted by Kamisato-cho and NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Saitama City, Saitama) on December 20, 2015. It will open at 15:00 on Sunday.
Kamisato Smart IC is a smart IC that allows you to get on and off both in the direction of Tokyo (In-bound line) and Niigata (Out-bound line), and all models equipped with ETC on-board equipment (vehicles with a total length of 12 m or less) can be used.

9 Precautions for using Kamisato Smart IC
- Smart ICs are for ETC vehicles only. Vehicles without ETC in-vehicle device cannot be used.
- Vehicles with a maximum length of 12 m can pass through.
- Please note that this is a temporary stop type IC for ETC, so it is necessary to stop at both the exit and entrance in front of the gate.
- After using Kamisato SA In-bound from Kan-Etsu Expressway, you cannot use the smart IC exit of Kamisato SA In-bound.
- After using the Kamisato SA Out-bound (excluding gas stations) from the Kan-Etsu Expressway, you can use the smart IC exit of Kamisato SA Out-bound.
