NEXCO EAST Ichihara Management Office (Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture) and Kisarazu Construction Office (Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture) will be implementing a night-time road closure between Matsuo Yokoshiba Interchange (hereinafter "IC") and Mobara Chonan Interchange on the C4 Ken-o Expressway (hereinafter "Ken-O Road") to carry out pavement repair work, inspection and repair of road structures, and preparatory work for the construction of the Oami Shirasato Smart Interchange (hereinafter "SIC").

In addition, the Choshi Link Road, which connects to Ken-O Road, between Matsuo Yokoshiba IC and Yokoshibahikari IC (managed by the Chiba Prefectural Road Public Corporation), will also be closed (entry prohibited) as customers who entered at Yokoshibahikari IC will not be able to exit onto the general road from Matsuo Yokoshiba IC.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation so that you may have some time when you go out.

1. Closed section and date and time

2. Road closure date and time
   May 22nd (Mon) to 26th (Fri), 2017, from 9pm to 5am each day
   The road will be closed for eight hours per day for five nights.
   (Backup days: Monday, May 29th to Friday, June 2nd, 9pm to 5am the following morning)

• In case of stormy weather, the planned closure on that day will be canceled and postponed from the next day.
  It will be postponed for the number of days it was canceled. (We will not postpone after June 3).
• Judgment of construction will be made around 16:00 on the day of construction.

2. Detour

For detours, please use Route 126, Route 128, and Route 409.

• The time required between the Yokoshiba Hikari IC and the Mobara Chonan IC is usually about 40 minutes, but if you make a detour, the time required will be about 90 minutes (about 50 minutes increase), so please take time to go.

3. Construction overview

Ken-O Road between Matsuo Yokoshiba IC and Mobara Chonan IC is a two-lane section (one lane in each direction), and will be closed to repair damaged pavement, inspect and repair road structures, and carry out preparatory work for the construction of the Oami Shirasato SIC.

In order to minimize the impact on customers, we will carry out traffic closures during the nighttime on weekdays when traffic is light and carry out construction work intensively and efficiently.

We ask for your understanding and cooperation so that customers can use the Expressway safely and comfortably.
