NEXCO EAST Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway Management Office (Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture) and Kisarazu Construction Office (Kisarazu Ken-O Road, Chiba Prefecture) will be closing the C4 Ken-o Expressway (hereinafter referred to as the "Ken-O Road") between Mobara Chonan Interchange (IC) and Kisarazu Higashi Interchange at night to carry out tunnel repair work, wrong-way driving prevention work, and cleaning and inspection of bridges, signs, etc.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation so that you can have time when you go out.

1. Nighttime road closure period and section

Section I

From June 12th (Mon) to June 16th (Fri), and from June 19th (Mon) to June 23rd (Fri), 2017
(Backup days: Monday, June 26th and Tuesday, June 27th) 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM each day
Ken-O Road Mobara Chonan IC to Ichihara Tsurumai IC (inner and outer loop) (12.5km)

Section II

From Monday, June 12th to Friday, June 16th, 2017
(Backup days: Monday, June 19th to Friday, June 23rd) 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM each day
Ken-O Road Ichihara Tsurumai IC to Kisarazu Higashi IC (inner and outer loop) (8.8km)

• In the event of rain, the road closures scheduled for Section II will be canceled and postponed until the following day or later.
  (The event will be postponed for the number of days that it was canceled.) However, the road closures scheduled for Section I will remain in place even in the event of rain.
• Judgment of construction will be made at 16:00 on the day of construction.

2. Detour route guide map

When Ken-O Road between Mobara Chonan IC and Kisarazu Higashi IC is closed at night, detours will be via National Route 409 and National Route 410. Attachment [PDF: 197 KB]

3. Construction overview

We will repair the damaged tunnel between Mobara Chonan IC and Kisarazu Higashi IC Ken-O Road, carry out construction to prevent wrong-way driving at the IC, and inspect and clean various facilities.

In order to minimize the impact on customers, we will carry out traffic closures during the nighttime on weekdays when traffic is light and carry out construction work intensively and efficiently.

We ask for your understanding and cooperation so that customers can use the Expressway safely and comfortably.
