NEXCO EAST Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway Management Office (Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture) and Trans-Tokyo Bay Highway Co. (Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo), CA We will renew some of the stores in the Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway (hereinafter "Aqua Line") Umihotaru Parking Area (hereinafter "Umihotaru PA") and facilities such as dilapidated toilets. Please look forward to the reborn Umihotaru PA.
In addition, due to the construction work, we will proceed with the construction while suspending some use of Umihotaru PA 1st floor parking lot, 1st and 5th floor stores, and toilets (excluding 4th floor). We apologize for the inconvenience, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Renewal construction period
2018 February 27 (Tuesday) -2019 in April (mid)
Renewal location
1st floor, 5th floor store, 1st floor entrance, toilets on each floor (excluding 4th floor), aging facilities (masts, tents, etc.)
Notes
- The 5th floor stores will be partially closed for each division on the Kisarazu side and Kawasaki side, and construction will be carried out sequentially.
- The first floor store will be closed from mid-May to late September H30.
- The 4th floor store will be open as usual because it is not subject to construction.
- We will install a temporary toilet, but the number of toilet bowls will decrease.
- Along with the installation of construction materials and equipment, we will relocate the highway bus terminal (to Kawasaki) and the two-wheeled parking space. In addition, the number of parking spaces on the 1st floor large parking lot (Kawasaki side) will decrease.
Umihotaru PA Renewal Overview

Umihotaru PA 1st floor entrance and 5th floor store will be completely renovated. The existing passage on the 5th floor has been renewed into an indoor space, and will be reborn as a space where you can relax and relax even in bad weather.
2 toilet
Twenty years have passed since the opening of the Aqua Line, and the aging toilets on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th floors will be repaired. (Not applicable because the toilet on the 4th floor has been renewed)
A temporary toilet will be installed during the construction period, but the number of toilet bowls will decrease.
3 Removal of aging facilities
We will remove old masts and tents.
4 Restriction on use of parking lot and relocation of highway bus platform (for Kawasaki)
Due to the construction, the number of parking spaces on the 1st floor large parking lot (Kawasaki side) will decrease from March 2018 to September 2018. In addition, the highway bus terminal (for Kawasaki) and motorcycle parking space will be relocated as shown below. Please note that the Standard number of large trailers that can be parked is one as the number of parking spaces decreases.
