NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture) and Trans-Tokyo Bay Highway Co. (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo) will be on the Thursday, August 1st at Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway Umihotaru Parking Area (below. We will recruit 200 members who want to participate in the popular event "Aqualine Expedition" held at "2019 Summer Festival in Umihotaru" held in "PA").

This "Aqualine Expedition" has reached its 13th year this year, with more than 2,000 people participating. Since it is possible to infiltrate behind the aqua line such as the evacuation passages of undersea tunnels that are not normally accessible, it is a popular social event for both children and adults to enjoy.

1 Aqua-Line Expedition Outline

2 What is Aqualine Expedition

"How did you build bridges and tunnels in the sea? ], "How thick is the wall of an undersea tunnel?" , "If a traffic accident or fire occurs in the undersea tunnel, where will you escape?" "...

The Tokyo Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway, which crosses Tokyo Bay with submarine tunnels and bridges, has many construction techniques and safety measures that are not generally known. The aqualine expedition will explore the backyard of the Expressway and get closer to the true image of the unknown aqualine.

In addition, there are many things that you cannot usually experience, such as tours inside the ships owned by the Japan Self-Defense Forces Chiba Regional Cooperation Headquarters and the Japan Coast Guard and test drive of working cars. Usually "pay in the undersea tunnel" which is carried out for a fee. You can participate for free in the Aqualine Expeditionary Team, which is a course that includes a tour of the inside of the Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway "Exploration behind the sea" and a test drive experience of a working car.

The Aqualine Expedition will be held as part of the "2019 Summer Festival in Umihotaru" held on Thursday, August 1. Details of "2019 Summer Festival in Umihotaru" will be announced later.
