3. 3. Additional lane business overview

On the In-bound Kan-Etsu Expressway, traffic jams occur during periods of heavy traffic, such as the busy summer season, long holidays, and holidays and ski seasons. The main reason for this is that the Out-bound slope of the main line becomes gentle and the speed of the car slows down, and the cars that start decelerating due to the outflow of the Maebashi IC overlap, which slows down the speed.
By extending the exit lane, it will be possible to change lanes at an early stage for vehicles that want to exit the Maebashi IC, ensuring smooth traffic at congestion points and reducing congestion.
