2. Detour

Refer to the figure below for detours.

[When heading to the outer circumference (toward Misato) of Gaikan Expressway (hereinafter referred to as the "outer ring road")]
As shown by the 　purple arrow, please use the Kawaguchi-higashi IC on the outer ring road.
If you detour between Urawa IC and Kawaguchi-higashi IC via National Highway 122 and National Highway 298, it will take about 12 minutes (usually about 4 minutes).

[When heading to the inner loop of the outer ring road (toward Oizumi)]
As shown by the 　orange arrow, please use the Kawaguchi-nishi IC on the outer ring road.
If you detour between Urawa IC and Kawaguchi Nishi IC via National Highway 122 and National Highway 298, it will take about 11 minutes (usually about 4 minutes).

[When heading toward the Metropolitan Expressway]
As shown by the 　light blue arrow, please use the Araijuku IC on the Metropolitan Expressway Kawaguchi Line In-bound Line.
If you detour between Urawa IC and Araijuku IC via National Highway 122 and Prefectural Highway 239, it will take about 14 minutes (usually about 4 minutes).

Detours will increase the time required, so please take time to go out.

3. Construction overview

At the entrance ramp of the Urawa IC on the Tohoku Expressway In-bound we will cut down trees, which is an obstacle to safe passage on the road. The section where this work is done is a one-lane ramp, and logging work is not possible under normal lane regulations, so it is necessary to close the ramp and perform the work. At the same time, we will repair the pavement and carry out reverse-way driving countermeasures.
Therefore, in order to avoid inconvenience to customers as much as possible, we will close the lamps on weekday nights when traffic is light and carry out construction intensively and efficiently. This work is necessary to use the Expressway safely and comfortably, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.
