We would like to announce that NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture) will begin operating ETC-only toll gates at four new toll gates from March 2025.

3. Information on ETC toll booths
In conjunction with the start of operation of ETC-only toll booths, "ETC Only" signs will be installed on guide signs on Expressway and ordinary roads near interchanges (hereinafter referred to as "ICs") to inform users that they will need to use ETC toll booths if they have an ETC vehicle.
4. How to use ETC toll gates
Please use an ETC vehicle. Vehicles without an ETC on-board unit cannot be used.
If you mistakenly use an ETC toll gate when ETC is not available (ETC on-board unit not installed, ETC card not inserted, etc.), do not back up; instead, go through the lane marked "ETC/Support" or "Support", stop temporarily, and follow local signs and instructions from attendants.
When ETC lanes are closed due to facility inspections, etc., ETC-equipped vehicles should also use the support lanes.
