NEXCO EAST Nagano Management Office (Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture) will close the lamps at night at Koshoku Junction (hereinafter referred to as "JCT") on E18 Joshin-Etsu Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "Joshinetsu Road") due to the removal of the protective fence.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation as this is necessary to maintain a safe and comfortable environment in Expressway.

2. Detour

The detour routes for each interchange entrance/exit and junction that will be closed as a result of this construction are as follows:
The detour will increase travel time, so please allow yourself plenty of time when traveling.

3. Regarding transit adjustments due to suspension of traffic

For passengers who leave the Expressway once due to a nighttime closure, bypass the closed section, re-enter and transfer in the forward direction, we will make a "transit adjustment" to adjust the toll according to the section used .

How to use transit adjustment

ETC customers

• Customers using ETC are requested to run the outflow IC wirelessly and the re-inflow IC wirelessly. (No transit certificate will be issued for ETC vehicles.)
• ETC time zone discount will be applied, considering the transited journey as one.
  Toll charges are adjusted at the time of billing, so they may differ from those displayed at the toll gate.
• Insert the same ETC card for all journeys and pass through the ETC lane at the tollgate.

Customers such as cash

• Customers who pay in cash, etc. should receive the "passage certificate" at the outflow IC, then collect the passport at the re-inflow IC, and then the "transfer certificate" at the toll gate where the fee is paid first. Please give a pass ticket.

Four. Construction overview

The deterioration of the pavement and bridge slabs is progressing at the ramp of the Joshinetsu Expressway Sarahani JCT, and the existing concrete protective fence will be removed as a preliminary work to carry out the pavement and bridge repair work.
Since it is not possible to carry out construction under normal lane restrictions, we will close the ramps on weekday evenings when traffic is low so as not to cause as much inconvenience to customers as possible, and carry out the work intensively and efficiently. This is necessary for the safe and comfortable use of Expressway, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.
