NEXCO EAST Mito Management Office (Mito City, Ibaraki Prefecture) collaborated with the Hitachi City Board of Education to have local junior high school students create paintings at the Hitachi Chuo Parking Area (hereinafter referred to as "PA") (In-bound) on the E6 Joban Joban Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "Joban Expressway").
This painting art was created by local junior high school students with the theme of "What Hitachi City wants to promote" in order to promote the attractions of Hitachi City to customers using Expressway, and to revitalize tourism and the local community in Hitachi City.
Hitachi Chuo PA (In-bound lane) installed a "walk-in gate" for customers coming from the public road on Monday, March 10th of this year, which can now be used as a daily shopping location for people in the surrounding area.
When you visit Hitachi Chuo PA, please be sure to take a look at the artwork that local junior high school students have created with their thoughts.
