NEXCO EAST The Tsukuba Construction Office (Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture) will implement a night road closure from the Hokota Interchange (hereinafter referred to as the "IC") on the E51 Higashi-Kanto Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "Higashi-Kanto Expressway") upper and lower lines at the Ibaraki Airport North IC to carry out construction work related to the extension of the Higashi-Kanto Expressway.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation so that you can allow plenty of time when you go out.

1. Closed section and date and time

2. Detour

For detours, please refer to the attached document [PDF: 171KB].
The detour will increase travel time, so please allow yourself plenty of time when traveling.

3. Construction overview

At the Higashi-Kanto Expressway Upper and Lower Line Hokota IC ~ Ibaraki Airport North IC, we will carry out construction work along with the extension of the Higashi-Kanto Expressway. The section where this construction will be carried out is one lane one way, and since it cannot be carried out due to normal lane regulations, it is necessary to close the road and carry out the work.
Therefore, in order to avoid causing as much inconvenience as possible to customers, we will close roads on weekday nights when there is little traffic, and carry out construction work intensively and efficiently. We ask for your understanding and cooperation in ensuring a safe and comfortable use of Expressway.

• Posters and leaflets will be displayed at nearby toll gates and rest facilities.
• A banner will be posted on the overpass on the Expressway.
