NEXCO EAST (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) and NEXCO East Japan Area Tract Co., Ltd. (Minato-ku, Tokyo) will reopen the Sano SA (In-bound lanes) Tohoku Expressway E4 as "Dramatic Area Sano (In-bound lanes)" at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. With the reopening of In-bound lanes, "Sano Park SA" will be completed, where you can enjoy your time as you please while traveling between the inbound and outbound lanes.

リニューアルのポイント

Taking advantage of the location surrounded by nature and the environment where you can walk between the northbound and southbound lanes, the entire service area has been renovated to resemble a single "park," providing a place where visitors can enjoy their time as they wish.
商業施設では、SAにいながら地域のモノ、ヒト、文化を体験できる場を目指し、「きっと出会える感動市庭いちば」をテーマに、地域を感じられる様々な価値を加えて地域の食や特産品をご提供します。
Kengo Kuma and Associates oversaw the interior and exterior design of the commercial facility. The building stands on a hill, creating a sense of unity between the indoors and outdoors, with wide eaves opening outwards to create an open space that welcomes customers.

Following the reopening of Out-bound lanes in July 2022, please stop by the Dramatic Area Sano, which will be reborn with the reopening of the commercial facilities on the In-bound lanes.
NEXCO EAST Group will continue to improve services and convenience to meet the needs of customers who use Expressway service areas and parking areas.

The "Dramatic Area" is a "travel drama" that is unique to the area where customers who stop by on the way to their destination, have a special product lineup, and specialize in enhancing locality in SA / PA, which is the core of the area. SA / PA that produces

Efforts to improve barrier-free and convenience

To ensure comfortable use, we will eliminate the step between the parking lot and the sidewalk, provide parking for large vehicles for people with disabilities, and install multi-function toilets in the secondary toilets.
Please note that the parking lot will be made barrier-free, and some of the restrooms and EV quick chargers will be opened in advance of the commercial facility renovation.
