NEXCO EAST Tanihara Management Office (Tsukubamirai City, Ibaraki Prefecture) is pleased to announce that, in commemoration of the opening of the E6 Joban Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "Joban Expressway") Tsukubamirai Smart Interchange (hereinafter referred to as "Smart IC") at 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 29, 2026, a commemorative gift will be presented to the first passengers (vehicles 1 through 5).

3. 3. Contents of the event

​Five customers will be selected by lottery from those who have applied in advance using the method described in "4. Application Method" below. These five customers will receive a "Pass Certificate" and a "Commemorative Gift." The order of the cars, from car 1 to car 5, will also be determined by lottery and announced at the same time.
Winners will be required to use Joban Expressway towards Mito from the same smart interchange (Out-bound).

Application method

• Please apply from the dedicated application form during the reception period.
• We do not accept applications over the phone.
• Tsukuba Mirai Smart Interchange is for ETC users only, so you will need to use ETC.
• If the number of applicants exceeds the planned number, we will conduct a strict lottery.
• Notification of lottery results will be replaced by e-mail to the winners.

• On the day of the opening, waiting near the Tsukuba Mirai Smart Interchange will cause inconvenience to local residents, so we strictly prohibit it.
