NEXCO EAST Utsunomiya Management Office (Kanuma City, Tochigi Prefecture) will be closing the entrance and exit of the Nasu Kogen Smart Interchange (SIC) on In-bound lane of the E4 Tohoku Tohoku Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "Tohoku Expressway") at night to carry out repair work on the drainage facilities. Please note that during the closure, it will not be possible to drain from or enter the main line.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation in allowing extra time when you go out.

1. Closed location and date and time

1. Closed areas:
   Tohoku Expressway Expressway In-bound, Nasu Kogen SIC entrance/exit
   • Customers entering the Nasu Kogen Service Area (hereinafter referred to as "SA") from the main road may use the facilities within the SA as usual. (Exiting from the SA to the general road is not permitted.)

2. Detour

• Detour due to the closure of the Nasu Kogen SIC exit
  Exit Tohoku Expressway Shirakawa IC and use National Route 4 and other routes as shown by the blue line in the diagram below. If you take this detour between Shirakawa IC and Nasu Kogen SIC, the estimated travel time is approximately 15 minutes (normally about 8 minutes).
• Detour due to the closure of the entrance to Nasu Kogen SIC
  Please use National Route 4 and other roads as shown by the red line in the diagram below, and enter Tohoku Expressway at Nasu Interchange. If you take this detour between Nasu Kogen SIC and Nasu Interchange, the estimated travel time is approximately 13 minutes (normally about 8 minutes).

The detour will take longer, so please allow yourself plenty of time when traveling.

3. Construction overview

Due to damage to the drainage facilities at the entrance and exit of the Nasu Kogen SIC Tohoku Expressway, repair work will be carried out. As the work cannot be carried out with normal lane closures, it will be necessary to close the entrance and exit of the Nasu Kogen SIC to carry out the work.
Therefore, to minimize inconvenience to our customers, we will close the entrances and exits during weekday evenings when traffic volume is low, and carry out the construction work intensively and efficiently. This construction is necessary to ensure the safe and comfortable use of Expressway, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.

• Warning signs, posters, and leaflets will be displayed at nearby toll booths and rest areas.
• Notice signs will be placed at the entrances and exits that will be closed.
