The Hokuriku Expressway will now be able to pass over the entire line.

2 Change of toll free section

Until now, due to traffic restrictions on National Highway No. 8, it will pass to vehicles that mutually use each IC in each section of the Hokuriku Expressway Nou IC-Kakizaki IC and between the Hokuriku Expressway Yoneyama IC-Kan-Etsu Expressway Nagaoka IC. We have implemented toll-free measures, but due to the cancellation of this closed section, we changed the section of the toll-free measures from Nou IC on the Hokuriku Expressway to Nagaoka IC on the Kan-Etsu Expressway from 18:00 on July 18, 2007. 3 Damage status and restoration work

After the earthquake, our Regional Head Office has just closed the road, carried out emergency inspections, and carried out emergency restoration work.
Of the Yoneyama tunnel (upper and lower lines) between Kakizaki IC and Yoneyama IC, especially for the tunnel on the In-bound line side, the concrete lining part (thickness about 30 cm, maximum width about 1 m, extension about 30 m) of the tunnel ceiling It has been stripped, and we are currently investigating and examining emergency recovery and implementing countermeasures.
At Yoneyama Bridge and Hachizaki Bridge from Kakizaki IC to Yoneyama IC, we are investigating the soundness of the bridge girders, examining the soundness of the bridge girders, and examining emergency measures and implementing countermeasures.

The damage on the Hokuriku Expressway Nou IC-Nagaoka JCT due to this earthquake is as follows, including those that have already been restored.

  • Two large steps (50 cm) and about 40 medium-sized steps (20 cm to 50 cm)
