2 Congestion status in the Niigata Regional Head Office
Traffic jams of 5 km or more due to accidents and traffic concentration occurred three times during the period (four times last year).
The longest traffic jam during the period is the 10km traffic jam that occurred on the Hokuriku Expressway (Out-bound) on August 8 (Wednesday) during the earthquake restoration work section due to the Chuetsu-oki Earthquake.

For the earthquake recovery construction section between the Hokuriku Expressway Kakizaki IC and Nagaoka JCT, we temporarily secured four lanes from the evening of August 10. During the period when 4 lanes were secured, there was no congestion in the section concerned.
