Niigata City and East Nippon Expressway Co., Ltd. are working on the Niigata Higashi Smart Interchange (IC) Saturday, March 26, 2016 2:00 pm We will inform you that it will be opened to.
In Niigata City, as the fourth smart IC following Kurosaki, Hoei, and Niitsu Nishi, it is expected to stimulate local tourism and industry and improve access to emergency medical facilities.
The details of the opening ceremony will be announced later.

How to use smart IC
The smart IC is an interchange exclusively for ETC
- To use it, insert an ETC card into the ETC on-board unit and pass.
- Be sure to stop at the open/close bar of the smart IC, before this.
- If the open/close bar does not open, please inform the local staff.
