NEXCO EAST Niigata branch (Niigata city Chuo Ward) organized the traffic situation during the Golden Week period.
[Summary of traffic conditions]
- Average daily traffic volume on major sections increased by approximately 7% year-on-year.
- Traffic volume of the peak in the period, Out-bound line May 3 days (water), In-bound became a line May 5 (Friday).
- The number of times of traffic over 5km 8 times, 2 times increase from the previous year Did.
- The largest traffic jam during this period was 18.2 km long, caused by an accident that occurred on Wednesday, May 3rd, on the E8 Hokuriku Expressway (Out-bound) between Makigata Higashi IC and Nakanoshima Mitsuke IC.
