NEXCO EAST Niigata Regional Head Office (Chuo-ku, Niigata City) E18 Joshin-Etsu Expressway (upper and lower lines) between Shinanomachi Interchange (IC) and Joetsu Junction (JCT) will be closed during the night hours due to the construction of four lanes.
We apologize for the inconvenience to our customers, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation as it will be a necessary suspension of traffic for the purpose of turning into four lanes.

Outline of road closure work
Joshin-Etsu Expressway Shinanomachi IC-Nakago IC was opened in October 1997, and the Nakago IC-Joetsu JCT was opened in October 1999 with provisional 2-lane operation. After that, in response to the business license change in April 2012, four-lane construction work has started, but with this suspension of traffic, pavement work for the service lane will be carried out as preparatory work for the completion of four lanes.
