NEXCO EAST Niigata Regional Head Office (Chuo-ku, Niigata City) has compiled information on traffic conditions during the Golden Week period [April 25th (Sat) to May 6th (Wed), 2026: 12 days] and would like to inform you of the details.
≪Overview of traffic conditions≫
- The average daily traffic volume for the representative section was 102% compared to 2025.
- Traffic volume peaked on Saturday, May 2nd, for Out-bound lanes and on Tuesday, May 5th, for In-bound lanes.
- There were three instances of traffic jams exceeding 5km, the same number as in 2025.
