About prospect of cancellation of suspension of traffic due to earth and sand disaster (3rd report)

NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office (Aoba-ku, Sendai city, Regional Head Office president: Mikio Kashima), due to a sediment-related disaster caused by the rain, from 1:35 on Friday, August 15th, Yamagata Expressway Shonai Airport IC-Sakata IC (upper and lower lines). We are carrying out road closures, and currently we are working to remove sediment and respond to slope collapse points in preparation for secondary damage.

At this stage, we are pleased to inform you that we will be able to remove the roadblock by the evening of today.
