NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office (Aoba-ku, Sendai, Regional Head Office president: Mikio Kashima), Check the winter tire installation status and ask the customer to install it early. Therefore, Expressway in major interchanges (IC), has implemented the mounting survey of winter tire in the early winter period.
The results of the survey conducted on November 10 are shown in the table below.
Compared to the previous survey (conducted on November 4th), winter tire installation rates were higher in Aomori and Akita prefectures, while in southeastern Tohoku prefectures, the installation rate was still low.
First north snow is observed at the toll gates on November 15th last year in Kita-Tohoku and Yamagata, and on November 18th in the mountains of Miyagi prefecture and Ban-Etsu Expressway Expressway. It is expected that it will snow soon, so please wear early winter tires and drive safely.
The next survey is scheduled for November 17th.
