NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office (Aoba-ku, Sendai city, Regional Head Office president: Mikio Kashima) plans to introduce a new technology, a cavitation cleaning vehicle, from this year to shorten cleaning time in the tunnel by up to 95%. Prior to this, we will hold a demonstration as follows, so please take a look at this opportunity.
The cavitation cleaning vehicle removes dirt by using a mechanism (cavitation) that produces an impact force when vaporized water vapor is liquefied in an extremely short time. It is jointly worked with NEXCO3 and the Expressway Research Institute. It was developed for the first time in the world.
With this introduction, the lane regulation time for lighting in tunnels will be reduced by about 20%, which will lead to greater safety, security, comfort and convenience for customers using Expressway.
