About result of winter tire wearing situation investigation (fourth)

NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office (Aoba Ward, Sendai City), the winter tires on Expressway are being promoted in order to encourage early winter tire replacement and enlighten safe driving during the full-scale snow season. We have conducted a survey on the installation status of and announced the results.

The results of the survey conducted on November 22 are shown in the table below.

Compared to the previous survey (conducted on November 15th), the winter tire installation rate is higher in the entire Tohoku region, but it is still lower than the same period last year.

The weather is expected to fall over a large area in Tohoku this weekend. Please wear a winter tire early and drive safely.

The next survey is scheduled for November 29th (announced December 1st).
(The survey date and publication date are subject to change without notice due to weather conditions.)

Survey method: Visually check the tire type of the vehicle passing through the general lane at the tollgate. (One time: 100 units or 30 minutes or more)
"IC" stands for interchange, "PA" stands for parking area.
