NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office (Aoba Ward, Sendai City) will use winter tires on Expressway in order to promote early snow tire replacement and enlighten safe driving on snowy roads during the coming snowfall season. A tire installation status survey is conducted and the results are announced.
Compared with the previous survey (conducted on October 31st), the winter tire installation rate is higher in the entire Tohoku region, but it is lower than the same period last year.
From now on, we will start a full-scale winter, and it is expected that snow will fall in the northeastern part of the country, the Yamagata road, and the mountainous areas of Ban-Etsu Expressway, so please use Expressway. In that case, please attach a winter tire early and drive safely.
