NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office (Aoba Ward, Sendai City) will hold “Highway Festa Tohoku 2013” at Sendai City Kotodai Park.
Enjoying for all the visitors by gathering local people from all over the area along the Expressway six prefectures of Tohoku, and by directly publicizing "things unique to the area" that you can not experience unless you go there. It is an event to have you rediscover the charm of the Tohoku region.
I hope that through this event, tourism in Tohoku will be further activated, and it will lead to the revitalization of Tohoku.
This year marks the 12th event held at Kotodai Park, and as with last year, we will continue to liven up the event with the subtitle "Tomorrow's ride" with a feeling for the reconstruction of Tohoku 6 prefectures.
This year, we expect approximately 50,000 visitors over the two days.

Opened in 6 prefectures of Aomori prefecture, Iwate prefecture, Akita prefecture, Miyagi prefecture, Yamagata prefecture and Fukushima prefecture.
