NEXCO EAST Aizuwakamatsu Management Office (Aizuwakamatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture) established a wire rope to prevent frontal collisions between the Tsugawa Interchange (IC) and the Aizuwakamatsu IC on the Banetsu Expressway in two lane sections (one lane on one side) To carry out construction, road surface repair work, tunnel equipment repair, inspection and cleaning, we will carry out nighttime traffic closure as follows.

Expressway This work is necessary to maintain a safe and comfortable environment. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

1. Closed section

• Between Tsugawa IC and Nishiaizu IC (upper and lower lines)
• Between Nishi-Aizu IC and Aizu-Sakashita IC (upper and lower lines)
• Between Nishiaizu IC and Aizuwakamatsu IC (upper and lower lines)

2. Road closure period

• 10 nights from May 22 (Mon) - June 2 (Fri), 2017
  Preliminary days: 4 nights from Monday, June 5 to Thursday, June 8
• 6 nights from June 9 (Fri) to June 16 (Fri), 2017
• 5 nights from June 19 (Mon) - June 23 (Fri), 2017
  Preliminary day: Two nights from June 26 (Mon) - June 27 (Tue), 2017

• As a general rule, there are no restrictions on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
• Please be sure to check the latest information when using this site, as the closing date and time and sections may change depending on the weather.

Five. Construction details

We perform wire rope installation work, road surface repair work, tunnel equipment repair work, inspection and cleaning work.

6. Regarding adjustment of transit fees due to road closures [Appendix-2, 4, 6]

Passengers who flow out of the Expressway due to suspension of traffic, bypass the suspension of traffic, and then transfer again in the same direction, will make "transit adjustment" to adjust the toll according to the segment used. Please refer to the attached document for the details of transit adjustment.
