NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office (Miyagino-ku, Sendai City) is located in the Tohoku region managed by the Company during the Obon period [11 days from August 6, 3rd year of Reiwa to Monday, August 16th, 3rd year of Reiwa]. We are pleased to inform you that we have summarized the usage status of the Expressway
- The average daily traffic volume in the Tohoku region was 15,400 vehicles / day, a decrease of about 57% compared to the same period in the first 2019 (Compared to the same period of 2020 of Reiwa, it decreased to about 96%.)
- The number of traffic jams over 5km was 0 on Out-bound line and 2 on In-bound
- The maximum congestion length was 8.3km, which occurred at the beginning of Tohoku Expressway (In-bound line) near Sugou PA around 12:34 on Sunday, August 15th. This traffic jam was caused by an accident and traffic congestion.
