NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office (Aoba-ku, Sendai City) will open Expressway interchanges within the jurisdiction of Tohoku Regional Head Office in conjunction with the spring national traffic safety campaign to be held from April 6th (Saturday) to April 15th (Monday), 2021. (IC), Service Area (SA), and Parking Area (PA), we will carry out the spring traffic safety campaign as shown below in conjunction with related organizations such as each prefectural police Expressway traffic police force.
In this campaign, we aim to reduce traffic fatalities to zero by distributing flyers and novelty items and reminding customers to prevent distracted driving, perform thorough vehicle maintenance and inspections, and wear seatbelts at all seats.

State of past campaign
NEXCO EAST Group has positioned the period from 2021 to 2025 as "a period to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs and transform toward a new future society", and is carrying out various initiatives.
We believe that the implementation of this Spring Traffic Safety Campaign will contribute to SDGs goals 3 and 17 as business activities that lead to the reduction of casualties due to traffic accidents.
