Aomori Prefecture, Iwate Prefecture, Miyagi Prefecture, Akita Prefecture, Yamagata Prefecture, Fukushima Prefecture and NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office (Miyagino Ward, Sendai City) will be holding the "Let's Travel! Tohoku 6 Prefectures Smartphone Stamp Rally" to help people enjoy traveling in the Tohoku region even more.
This stamp rally campaign involves using your smartphone to travel around stamp spots across Tohoku and collect stamps, giving a total of 737 winners the chance to win luxurious prizes such as accommodation vouchers for hot spring inns and local specialties from each prefecture.
In fiscal year 2023, more than 157,000 people visited tourist spots across Tohoku through this stamp rally, the highest number ever.
This time, to allow you to fully experience the charms of various parts of Tohoku, we have set up stamp spots at a total of 284 tourist destinations and other locations with themes such as "experience," "history and culture," and "food."
Following on from last year, we have also prepared some wonderful prizes with the cooperation of the Tohoku Tourism Organization, East Japan Railway Company (JR East Japan), and Sendai International Airport Corporation (Sendai Airport).
In addition, an official Instagram account will be opened to post information about the campaign and stamp spots, and an Instagram photo contest will be held at the same time, in which participants will be asked to post photos of each spot visited during the stamp rally on Instagram, with prizes awarded to those who spread the charms of Tohoku.
