We are pleased to announce that the Onahama Road, which Fukushima Prefecture has been developing as a Fukushima Reconstruction and Revitalization Road, is scheduled to open at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2025. In addition, it will connect to the Iwaki Onahama IC on the E6 Joban Expressway which has been developed in collaboration with NEXCO EAST.
The opening of the Onahama Road is expected to help revitalize the region in terms of logistics, industry, and tourism, as well as ensure smooth emergency transportation in the event of a large-scale disaster, and alleviate vehicular congestion around Onahama Port.

2. About Iwaki Onahama IC
- The Iwaki Onahama IC on Joban Expressway will open at the same time as the Onahama Road.
This will connect Joban Expressway and the Onahama Road. - Iwaki Onahama IC is a normal full interchange and is available to all vehicle types.

Fukushima Prefecture and NEXCO EAST Group are working to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs.
With regard to this "Onahama Road Improvement" initiative, we believe that by improving and strengthening Expressway network, this business activity will lead to revitalizing the local economy and supporting local medical care, and will contribute to SDGs goals 3, 8, 9, and 11.
