Highway People's Town Network (NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office [Miyagi Ward, Sendai City] and others) will be holding the "Highway Festa Tohoku 2025"at Kotodai Park in Sendai City on Saturday, September 20th and Sunday, September 21st, 2025.
This event will feature a variety of "regional specialties," such as local performing arts and gourmet food from the six Tohoku prefectures connected by Expressway, allowing visitors to enjoy and rediscover the charms of the Tohoku region.
This event has been attended by approximately 1 million people to date, and thanks to your support, is now in its 22nd year. There will be a variety of gourmet and stage events, so please come and join us with your family and friends.

What is Hiway Jingai Net?

NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office is working to improve the vitality of the entire six Tohoku prefectures by discovering and widely promoting attractive tourism resources and revitalizing inter-regional exchanges. It has set up "regional liaison committees" in each prefecture and organized the "Highway People's Town Network" with the aim of working together with the local community. In addition to hosting "Highway Festa Tohoku 2025," NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office will work to improve the vitality of the entire six Tohoku prefectures through various initiatives that promote the attractions of the region through Expressway.

NEXCO EAST Group has positioned the period from 2021 to 2025 as a period for contributing to the achievement of the SDGs and transforming society toward a new future, and is undertaking a variety of initiatives.
We believe that hosting the "Highway Festa Tohoku 2025" will contribute to SDGs goals 8 and 17 as a business activity that will lead to the promotion of sustainable tourism and the revitalization of local communities.
