NEXCO EAST At the Akita Management Office (Akita City, Akita Prefecture), information board renewal work was carried out from the E7E46 Akita Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "Akita Expressway") upper and lower lines Kyowa Interchange (hereinafter referred to as "IC") to Akita Minami IC, and the E7 Nihonkai-Tohoku Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "Nitto Expressway") upper and lower lines Kawabe Junction (hereinafter referred to as "JCT") From Akita Airport IC, we will carry out night road closure to carry out pavement repair work.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation so that you can have plenty of time when you go out.

1. Closed section and date and time

   Every day from 20:00 to 6:00 the next morning

• In stormy weather, it will be postponed to the spare day.
• The decision to proceed with construction will be announced on X (formerly Twitter), etc.

2. Detour

For detours, please refer to Appendix 1 [PDF: 156KB].
The detour will increase travel time, so please allow yourself plenty of time when traveling.

3. Regarding transit adjustments due to suspension of traffic

For customers who exit Expressway due to a road closure, detour around the closed section, then re-enter and transfer in the forward direction, a "transfer adjustment" will be implemented, in which the toll will be adjusted according to the section used. (See Appendix 2 [PDF: 142KB])

How to use transit adjustment

ETC customers

• For customers using ETC, please drive wirelessly at designated outflow ICs, and also wirelessly drive at re-inflow ICs. (Transfer certificates are not issued for ETC vehicles)
• ETC time zone discount will be applied, considering the transited journey as one.
  Toll charges are adjusted at the time of billing, so they may differ from those displayed at the toll gate.
• Insert the same ETC card for all journeys and pass through the ETC lane at the tollgate.

Customers such as cash

• Customers paying with cash, etc. should receive a "transfer certificate" at the outflow designated IC, then take a "transit ticket" at the re-inflow IC, and then take the "transition certificate" at the toll booth where they pay the toll for the first time. Please hand over your ``book'' and ``traffic ticket.''

Common to ETC and cash customers

• If the suspension of traffic is released after the outflow designated IC is released, the fare will be adjusted even if it is re-introduced from the IC (including the outflow designated IC) in the closed road section in the forward direction.
• Only vehicles with ETC can use Yokote Kita Smart IC.
• Nishisenboku Smart IC can only be used by ETC vehicles, but it is closed from 10pm to 6am the following day.

Four. Construction overview

Akita Road Upper and Lower Line Kyowa IC ~ Akita Minami IC will be removed from the aging information board and gate pillar. In addition, pavement repair work will be carried out between the Nitto Expressway Upper and Lower Line Kawabe JCT ~ Akita Airport IC due to damage to the road surface. In order to avoid causing as much inconvenience as possible to customers, we will close the road on weekday nights when there is little traffic, and carry out the construction intensively and efficiently. This is a necessary construction work for you to use the Expressway safely and comfortably, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.
