NEXCO EAST Sendai Management Office (Aoba Ward, Sendai City) will be closing the ramp at Shiwahime Parking Area (hereinafter referred to as "PA") on the Out-bound lane of the E4 Tohoku Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "Tohoku Expressway") during the day to carry out pavement repair work.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers. Please check the attached document [PDF: 160KB] for available rest facilities and ask for your understanding and cooperation in using nearby PAs or service areas (hereinafter referred to as "SAs").

2. Construction overview

Tohoku Expressway Out-bound Pavement repair work will be carried out on the ramp at the Shiwahime PA on the Route 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 15 lines. The section where this work will be performed is a single lane, and since it is not possible to perform the work using normal lane restrictions, it will be necessary to close the PA to perform the work.
Therefore, in order to minimize inconvenience to our customers, we will close the PAs during the daytime on weekdays, when the impact of the work is minimal, and conduct the work in a concentrated and efficient manner. We ask for your understanding and cooperation as this work is necessary for the safe and comfortable use of Expressway.
