NEXCO EAST The Yamagata Management Office (Yamagata City, Yamagata Prefecture) will close roads at night on both directions of E13 Tohoku-Chuo Expressway (hereafter "Tohoku Chuo Expressway") from Tendo Interchange (hereafter "IC") to Higashine IC, and from E48 Yamagata Expressway (hereafter "Yamagata Expressway") up and down Yamagata Junction (hereafter "JCT") to Gassan IC for paving repair work.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to our customers, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation so that you can allow extra time when you go out.

2. Detour

For information on alternative routes, please refer to Attachment 1 [PDF: 772KB].
The detour will increase your travel time, so please allow extra time for your journey.

3. Regarding transit adjustments due to suspension of traffic

For passengers who temporarily exit the Expressway due to road closures, bypass the closed section, re-enter the area, and transfer in the direction in the right direction, a "transfer adjustment" will be implemented to adjust tolls according to the section used. (See Appendix 2 [PDF: 542KB])

How to use transit adjustment

ETC customers

• For customers using ETC, please drive wirelessly at designated outflow ICs, and also wirelessly drive at re-inflow ICs. (Transfer certificates are not issued for ETC vehicles)
• ETC time zone discount will be applied, considering the transited journey as one.
  Toll charges are adjusted at the time of billing, so they may differ from those displayed at the toll gate.
• Insert the same ETC card for all journeys and pass through the ETC lane at the tollgate.

Customers such as cash

• Customers paying with cash, etc. should receive a "transfer certificate" at the outflow designated IC, then take a "transit ticket" at the re-inflow IC, and then take the "transition certificate" at the toll booth where they pay the toll for the first time. Please hand over your ``book'' and ``traffic ticket.''

Common to ETC and cash customers

• If the road closure is lifted after exiting at an exit IC, the toll will be adjusted even if you re-enter from an IC in the road closure section in the forward direction or from an exit IC.
• Sagae SA Smart IC and Yamagata PA Smart IC are only accessible to vehicles with ETC.

Four. Construction overview

Due to road surface damage at both Tendo IC~Higashine ICs on the Tohoku Chuo Expressway (both directions) and Yamagata Expressway (both directions) ~ Nishikawa IC, we will carry out pavement repair work. Additionally, we will conduct emergency tunnel equipment inspections at Nishikawa IC~Gassan IC on the Yamagata Expressway (both directions). The section where this work will be carried out is a single lane, and since normal lane regulations cannot carry out the work, it is necessary to implement road closures during the work. To minimize inconvenience to customers, we will close the road on weekday nights when traffic is low and the work will be carried out intensively and efficiently. This work is necessary for a safe and comfortable use of Expressway, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.
