Overview of FY2018 interim results

We would like to inform you about the outline of the 14th fiscal year interim financial results of NEXCO EAST (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo). The current interim period is a half year from April 1, 2018 to September 30, 2018.

Points for FY2018 interim results (consolidated)

1. Expressway business, operating revenue was ¥ 1,171.1 billion (¥ 707.9 billion compared to the previous fiscal year) due to an increase in completed road assets and an increase in toll revenue due to the opening of the Gaikan Expressway Misato Minami IC to Takaya JCT. Has increased).
   On the other hand, operating expenses amounted to ¥ 1,144.4 billion (an increase of ¥ 708.9 billion from the previous fiscal year) due to factors such as an increase in road asset completion costs corresponding to the completion of road assets and an increase in road asset rent.
2. As a result, operating income for the Expressway business for the current interim period was 26.7 billion yen, but is expected to be 1.9 billion yen for the full year.
3. The reason for the higher operating income in the first half compared to the full year is that our toll revenues are higher in the first half than in the second half, and management expenses tend to be higher in the second half in terms of snow and ice countermeasure costs.
