 東日本高速道路株式会社、中日本高速道路株式会社、西日本高速道路株式会社は、舗装の高耐久化を目的に上層路盤に高弾性アスファルト混合物(High Modulus Asphalt、以下HiMA)を使用するための技術基準として、「高弾性上層路盤用混合物 設計・施工管理要領」(以下、本要領)を制定しましたのでお知らせします。

Conventional pavement repair has assumed that the health of the pavement can be maintained by repeatedly repairing deformities that occur in the surface layer. However, in recent years, there have been cases where deformities such as dirt blowing out onto the road surface and cracks extending to the roadbed have become apparent. In such cases, even if the roadbed was repaired with a material of equivalent performance, new deformations would reoccur in a short period of time, resulting in a significant increase in the frequency of repairs. Therefore, we decided to use the newly developed HiMA in the upper subgrade to make the pavement more durable and reduce the frequency of repairs.
