Regarding the response status to the Noto Peninsula earthquake

We humbly pray for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives in the Noto Peninsula Earthquake of 2020, and we extend our deepest sympathies to those affected.
We would like to inform you about the status of our response to the Noto Peninsula Earthquake.

Damage requiring emergency restoration was confirmed mainly on Hokuriku Expressway.

[Main damage]

  • Three road surface differences due to embankment subsidence near the boundary between the bridge and the embankment
  • In addition, there are two openings in the bridge expansion/contraction device, and many cracks in the road surface.

2. Regarding free measures due to National Route 8 disaster road closure

Due to the closure of National Route 8 due to the earthquake, we implemented free travel on some sections of the parallel Hokuriku Expressway and Joshin-Etsu Expressway.

Tuesday, January 2, 2020, 6:30 a.m. to Saturday, January 27, 2020, 10:00 a.m.

3. Regarding the passage of vehicles engaged in disaster relief and disaster volunteer vehicles

In response to requests from disaster-stricken Niigata, Toyama, and Ishikawa prefectures, we are implementing the following free measures.

  1. Free measures for vehicles used by local governments, etc. for disaster relief
  2. Free treatment for vehicles engaged in disaster volunteer activities

In cooperation with related local governments and other Expressway companies, we are providing support to disaster-stricken areas by dispatching support vehicles.

5.令和6年能登半島地震被害に対する当社の義援金の拠出について

We would like to express our deepest condolences to those who lost their lives in the recent 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake and extend our heartfelt sympathies to all those affected.
NEXCO EAST Group has donated 10,000,000 yen to support those affected by the recent Noto Peninsula earthquake and to help with the reconstruction of the affected areas.
In addition, we also donated 7,030,372 yen in donations collected from NEXCO EAST Group executives and employees, and 846,216 yen in donations received from customers (donations placed in donation boxes at service and parking areas). We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your kind support.
The total donations of 17,876,588 yen will be delivered to those affected by the disaster through the Central Community Chest of Japan, a social welfare corporation.
We sincerely pray for the speedy recovery of the affected areas.
