Due to an on-site inspection of a traffic accident by the Niigata Prefectural Police on Wednesday, December 3rd, the E17 Kan-Etsu Expressway (Out-bound) will be closed from Ojiya Interchange (IC) to Nagaoka IC as follows:

1. Closed section and date and time

   Kan-Etsu Expressway Out-bound) Ojiya IC ⇒ Nagaoka IC
   • ETC customers can use the service from Nagaoka Minami-Etsuji Smart IC to Niigata (Out-bound lane).
2. Date and Time:
   Wednesday, December 3, 2020 20:00-21:30 (about 1 hour 30 minutes)
   • The end time will vary depending on the progress of the accident review.
   • In case of inclement weather, it may be postponed to a later date. We will notify you of the postponed schedule.
   • Please drive carefully as the exit from Ojiya IC may be congested.

2. Detour

To detour, please use National Route 291 ⇒ National Route 17 ⇒ National Route 8.

3. Regarding transit adjustments due to suspension of traffic

For passengers who temporarily flow out of the Expressway due to suspension of traffic, bypass the suspension of traffic, re-enter, and transfer in the forward direction, we carry out "transit adjustment" to adjust the toll according to the segment used. I will.

How to use transit adjustment

ETC customers

• Customers using ETC are requested to use ETC wireless communication at both the exit and re-enter interchanges. (ETC vehicles will not be issued a "Transfer Certificate.")
• ETC time zone discount will be applied, considering the transited journey as one.
  Toll charges are adjusted at the time of billing, so they may differ from those displayed at the toll gate.
• Insert the same ETC card for all journeys and pass through the ETC lane at the tollgate.

Customers such as cash

• Customers who pay by cash, etc. should receive the "passenger certificate" at the outflow IC and then collect the "passport" at the re-inflow IC. Please give "and" a pass ticket.

Common to ETC and cash customers

• If the road closure is lifted after exiting at the exit IC, the toll will be adjusted even if you re-enter from an IC in the closed section in the forward direction (including the exit IC).
