1 Congestion measures for Golden Week

  • For this year's Golden Week, we predict that more congestion will occur than usual. (Announced on April 10)
  • For this reason, each Expressway company will take measures against traffic congestion beyond the normal GW, for example, compared to last year's Golden Week, about 3.0 times (about 670) temporary temporary toilet installation, tail traffic tail tail guard vehicle We will take maximum measures such as about 1.8 times (about 220 places) and about 1.5 times (about 5,100 people/day) for parking lot maintenance staff such as service areas.

2 Regarding the situation after the special holiday discount (up to 1,000 yen)

  • From Friday, March 20th, Honshi Expressway, Aqua Line, and from Saturday, March 28th, special discounts for holidays will start in rural areas nationwide.

(1) Traffic volume

  • About the traffic situation for about one month after the special holiday discount is introduced, compared to the week before the introduction of the discount,
    Honshi Expressway (3 routes total): About 2.1 times (about 2.0 times the same period of the previous year)
    Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway: About 1.3 times (about 1.4 times the same period of the previous year)
    Expressway in rural areas: about 1.4 times (about 1.3 times the same period last year)

(2) Efforts to attract local tourism

  • Along with the reduction in high-speed tolls, approximately 60% of the area is undertaking efforts to attract tourism, and it is considered that the synergistic effect of this is a significant increase in traffic volume.

(3) Analysis of the usage situation at tourist destination interchanges

  • The use of interchanges at major tourist destinations in rural areas has increased by 1.2 to 1.5 times compared to last year, and in particular, the number of customers from distant places such as outside the prefecture is increasing.
  • At the Hon-shi Expressway, usage from areas other than Shikoku, especially, is about three times higher than before discounting, and the number of customers visiting Shikoku for sightseeing is increasing.

3 Start accepting holiday bus discounts

  • We are planning to start a holiday bus discount (saturday, sunday, and public holidays 30% off) from July 4, but since it is premised on the use of a corporate card, registration will be accepted in advance from May 13 (Wednesday). I will start.

4 Special connection for special holiday discount
