【Investigation result】

The following results were collected from 550 people surveyed who use the Expressway more than five times a year.

1-1. The most noticeable violation of manners is a sudden lane change. Women in their 50s

When asked about "the most annoying manner violations," the most frequent answer was "a sudden lane change" (26.2%), "unreasonable overtaking" (22.7%), and "driving" (22.5%). All three items are violations that are likely to occur when the car is in a dumpling state, but it seems that there are many cases that are close to rule violations rather than manners, and it feels dangerous to that extent, so it seems that many supporters gathered. Will be opened.

Looking at this result in more detail by gender and age, many men in all age groups say "rapid lane change" and "driving", and those over 60 are "impossible overtaking". Is 35.5%, nearly 15 points higher than other age groups.

On the other hand, in women, the number of “rapid lane changes” exceeded that of men by 10 points or more, and it was 44.2% in the 50s, which was by far the highest by gender and age group. Also, “driving” does not have major characteristics for each age group, and the same tendency as men can be seen, but “unreasonable overtaking” is almost the same level as men over the age of 60, but other Age groups tend to be 5 to 15 points higher than men.

I'm not sure why this was the result, but one of the opinions sent to our customer center was: ``I'm driving without checking anything after my car There are a lot of indications that there are too many cars, and considering that, in fact, it seems that oneself will cause "rapid lane regulation", "driving", "unreasonable overtaking" to other vehicles. There may be cases where it has created a different situation. Of course, such an act is dangerous driving that violates traffic rules, and if you make a mistake in one step it can lead to an accident, so it is never admitted, but first of all it is important to protect yourself It may be a point.

1-2. "Adriving" and "overtaking lane driving" are high in the north...? !!

Here, I tried to collect the answers about "the most annoying manner violations" by prefecture. As a result, Miyagi Prefecture was the top with 38.1% of all respondents, which was the third most common "Aori Driving". Below are Hokkaido (35.1%) and Yamagata prefecture (33.3%), followed by Chiba prefecture (30.9%). Then came Nagano Prefecture (27.3%). Looking at the situation that the other prefectures are around 20% or less, it seems that the prefectures located in the north have slightly higher numbers.

On the other hand, Aomori Prefecture was the top 3% with “Irregular Overtaking”, which was the second most overall. This is followed by Ibaraki Prefecture, which is second with 33.3%. Below, Akita prefecture (30.0%) and Niigata prefecture (28.6%) followed. Again, it can be said that the prefectures located in the north tend to be high.

The most sudden manner change was the "Rapid lane change" in Iwate and Kanagawa prefectures with 38.9% at the top. This is followed by Saitama Prefecture (28.6%), Nagano Prefecture (27.3%), and Fukushima Prefecture (26.9%), but each prefecture has a total of around 20%, and there are significant differences between prefectures. Was not seen.

2-1. "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" is driving in the overtaking lane all the time

In the previous question, I asked about the behavior of others, but here I asked about my own behavior, "I accidentally violated manners."

Then, the top was 28.4% of "Keep driving in the overtaking lane", which was the result of the other answers. Looking at the age composition of people who chose this answer by gender, 43.1% of men in their 50s and 38.5% of their 30s chose to keep driving in the passing lane.

On the other hand, among women, the number of people who answered “Keep driving in the overtaking lane” was as high as that of men at each age, but the percentage of other respondents at each age group was also high, and it seems not so remarkable as men. Can be found in.

By the way, it is not a violation of manners but a rule violation to keep running in the overtaking lane. Of course, depending on the degree, it seems that you may get a foul ticket due to a violation of the Road Traffic Law, so please be careful! Above all, by following the car that follows the head of the Daimyo procession, the distance between cars following the car gradually becomes shorter, and in some cases it may cause frustration and lead to a contact accident. By all means, I would like to ask you to drive safely, paying attention not only to the front but also the back, right and left.

NEXCO EAST,
"HEARTFUL HIGHWAY-Everyone's manners on everyone's highway"
We are working on improving manners with a catch phrase.

≪What is "HEARTFUL HIGHWAY"?≫

I was scared of sudden lane changes.

I saw a small car parked in a space dedicated to large cars.

I saw household waste being thrown away in the service area.

Have you ever had that experience on the Expressway?

Also, do you have any experience that you have done?

Everyone's etiquette is necessary because it's the way everyone uses it.

HEARTFUL HIGHWAY is an effort to make the Expressway safer and more comfortable place with customers by telling all customers who use the Expressway rules they want to know and the manners they want them to notice.

NEXCO EAST manners up character≫
