NEXCO EAST (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has summarized traffic conditions during the Golden Week period.

  • The number of times of traffic congestion of 10 km or more, 102 times, 23 times less than last year Did.

  • The biggest traffic jam that occurred during the period was Around 9:35 on Saturday, May 3rd, 63.9km from around the Iwafune JCT, Tohoku Expressway (Out-bound line) was.

Apology for traffic jam due to one-lane restriction on one side between Saku IC and Usui Karuizawa IC on Joshin-Etsu Expressway (In-bound line)

Due to the disaster recovery work, the section was restricted to one lane on each side during the Golden Week period. Therefore, around 14:35 on May 5 (Monday), there was a traffic congestion of up to 18km around the Happuyama Tunnel. did.
