1. Background of maintenance

NEXCO EAST In-service Expressway service length has been extended to about 4,000km, while construction length of Expressway is decreasing, and engineers in response to the arrival of the full-scale maintenance era are in decline. Nurturing and promotion of research and technological development are necessary. While training engineers requires on-site practice and understanding / acquisition of technical knowledge, a decrease in construction length will inevitably lead to a decrease in experience at construction sites. In order to complement on-site experience and deepen understanding of the deterioration mechanism of structures and changes in technical standards, we have established a technical center because it is important for hands-on and hands-on training.
