Of this amount, toll revenue increased by 27.2 billion yen from the previous year to 741.6 billion yen due to factors such as the fact that while it was affected by the new coronavirus infection, it continued to pick up from the previous year.     Operating expenses were 987.1 billion yen, a decrease of 142.8 billion yen from the previous fiscal year due to a decrease in road asset completion costs and management costs.
    As a result, the Expressway business posted an operating loss of 3.3 billion yen (an operating loss of 1.8 billion yen in the previous fiscal year).

Operating revenue in the service area (SA) and parking area (PA) businesses increased by 400 million yen from the previous year due to a reaction to the decrease in store sales due to the impact of the new coronavirus infection in the previous year. It was 24.8 billion yen, and operating expenses were 26.7 billion yen, a decrease of 2.3 billion yen from the previous year.
    As a result, the SA / PA business posted an operating loss of 1.9 billion yen (an operating loss of 4.7 billion yen in the previous fiscal year).

In FY3 of Reiwa, in order to ensure safe traffic on Expressway, we will focus on seismic countermeasure projects for rocking pier bridges among the roads (overpass bridges) that straddle Expressway managed by local governments.
